What’s New

Thanks to your valuable feedback, we have introduced new features to Bikemap to improve your experience, but we won’t stop here – there’s more to come. Here are the highlights of what’s new:

New and improved Web Discover

October 2024

To match the app, we’ve redesigned our Discover tab for Web! You can now search directly from the map screen and use the presets to filter by your preferred bike type and cycling style.

iOS 18 and Garmin update

September 2024

One of our main priorities is to improve the interaction of Bikemap with our users’ favorite gadgets. We’re proud to announce that Garmin integration now works both in app and web, syncing between them.
And all iPhone and Apple Watch users will be excited to find out how we’ve optimized Bikemap for iOS 18 – see what’s new, cool and unexpected listed below. We can’t wait for you to try out all the new features for yourself!

Your Personal Recap & TourRadar

August 2024

Celebrate your achievements in style and visualize your progress with our shiny new recap feature!

If you’re an active user, you’ll be notified at the end of each month that your personal recap page has updated. You can easily track your progress throughout the year and look back on the whole year in December. There’s also a link to your recap page in your Bikemap profile in the app.

Improved route surface details & Discover tab

July 2024

With our newly designed Discover tab, you can now use the presets to quickly filter by bike type and see all the route surface details in advance.

Self-guided navigation

June 2024

Let’s talk navigation! Do you often ride routes on off-road segments, finding yourself beyond the limits of regular navigation mode? Or do you get distracted by turn-by-turn directions and would sometimes prefer to turn them off? Then we think you should try self-guided navigation. Our newest navigation mode simply shows you your live location along your route, and will navigate you reliably on off-road segments and undefined paths.

Meet the loop planner

May 2024

This is for when you want to try out a new route, know the rough direction you wish to explore but also want to make sure you’re home for dinner.

Sounds like a complex task, but we built an easy fix: simply point your phone in your preferred direction, enter the desired distance and routing profile and let the loop planner custom-build a round-trip for you!

April 2024

We have long dreamed of combining our two separate editing and planning tools to create one versatile, powerful tool which covers all your route planning needs. So we put our heads together and reconfigured all the nuts and bolts and now we’re excited to say: sometimes dreams do come true!

Your routes just got a fresh look!

February 2024

We’re beyond excited to share what we have been working on: a fresh take on the tool that makes documenting your personal routes in our web version both fun and easy, the Bikemap Route Detail Page! Read more about this update.
